Mukherjee Swimming Pool
Description:
Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukharjee Swimming Complex is spread over 12.13 acres with the built-up area occupying 3.7 acres consisting both swimming and diving pools. This swimming complex will have 3 main pools mainly for main competition, diving and warm-up. All pools are temperature controlled. There is a lift for athletes to go up. There are also underwater observation windows.
Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Swimming Pool is to be used for Aquatics events in 2010 Commonwealth Games. It has a capacity of 5000 people.
Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukharjee Swimming Complex is 8 km away from the Commonwealth Games Village. This Stadium is well connected to the Games village and other venues by roads and metro rail.
